Buying Wine

The procedure for buying wine is as follows:

find the wine you require and click on the wine name
click the “Trade” button in the middle of the price quote
on the right hand side of the trading screen (under VWF sells) select the required quantity and click “Trade Now”

This adds the purchase to your trading pad; you can add further trades by repeating the above steps and when you are finished click the “Complete Trade” button at the bottom of the trading pad – this finalizes the whole transaction. You can return to the trading pad at any time by clicking “View Pad” in the top menu.

All registered users can place orders to buy wine online. Placing an online order constitutes a firm commitment on the user to purchase, as well as an obligation on VWF to supply, the appropriate wines at the price quoted. The brief confirmation sent on completion of the online order will be followed by a formal invoice which (unless otherwise agreed) is due for payment upon receipt.

Prices are quoted under bond ex-Octavian, Wilts, UK and wines can be transferred within Octavian or released for collection from there, free of charge. For customers not holding accounts at Octavian, or who do not wish to collect, wines can be delivered anywhere within the UK at the prevailing Octavian delivery tariff. In all cases, if the final destination address is not a bonded facility, duty and VAT will also be payable.

All wines offered for sale have clean unmarked labels, sound capsules, fill levels of base neck or higher and are packed in the original case.
